Like other tea and herbal products companies, we are a small artisan company that provides handcrafted medicinal herb products (teas, tinctures, herbal- infused honey & other goodies) known as "herb simples" from wild herbs ethically and sustainably wildcrafted. Like others, we want you to experience the time-honored benefits of these wonderful plants! But we are different in 3 key ways.
Celebrate the wild without harm
Wild resources are a blessing in many ways that are ignored today--especially for medicinal herbs. In the herbalists' tradition that wild plants are more beneficial, all our herbs are wild-harvested, but no endangered plants are harvested and wild plant stands are managed without overharvest. Conservation of wild spaces is required of our harvest partners. Every harvest partner (aka partner farm) sets aside a portion of land that is left completely alone for Mother Nature to manage. We lightheartedly call this our "Pockets of Purity" Plan© --designed to create a micro network of wild habitat. We need our wild spaces--and so do the birds and pollinators. Think of it as Rewilding on a Micro Scale.
Cool teas from clean locations
Teas, like all our herbal products, are all small batch & handcrafted from herbs harvested from environmentally & energetically CLEAN locations, like Wild Blackberry Leaf, Solidago Leaf and Agrimony! All with great history in the tradition of "food is health". Here's just one example: Wild Blackberry Leaf tea was a ration for the Roman Army (they knew how to take care of their soldiers).

Ethical harvesting & transparent sourcing
Most medicinal and culinary herbs sold in the US are imported and unclear sourcing has become a concern. With growing popularity and overharvesting, plants like ginseng are now endangered. Lots of herb companies promote ethical harvest, but we go a step further and list the place of origin on each product. We work with partners to wildcraft our herbs from places where we have clear permission from ownership to do so, which allows us to verify the cleanliness and environmental impact. Listing the place of origin is our way of doing--not just saying--transparency. Some herb companies do list the country of origin, but we go further and list the locality & region. If any other herb company is doing this, we'd love to hear as we think we're the first to do so.
Harvested wild plants come from areas that have not been chemically treated or adulterated or treated with synthetic fertilizer and not adjacent to chemically treated environments or areas treated with synthetic fertilizers or herbicides
Supporting organizations that do good work to protect birds, pollinators, & endangered medicinal plants
As we grow, 10% of net profits annually will go to 501(c)3 organizations that support protection for pollinators, endangered medicinal plants and wild bird habitat. We are a business member of United Plant Savers. Another fantastic group is American Bird Conservancy, both great organizations! Check them out and support them!
Fair payment to partner farms/harvest partners
Small farms, especially those that follow and promote regenerative agricultural practices, help with the web of life. Fair payment is the right thing to do and important to our corporate ethos: this is our do, not say approach.
Biodiversity and wildness should be promoted everywhere!
Our harvest partners are currently in Virginia and Arizona. Interested in joining the team? Check out our harvest partner page and reach out!
Note: you don't have to be a harvest partner to participate: See our Rewilding on a Micro Scale blog above for some ideas to bring a little wildness into your life!
